A lip flip uses a few units of Botox along the upper lip so it rolls slightly outward and shows a little more, with no filler and no added volume. At KM RX Aesthetics in Bellaire it is $50 on its own, and included free with the 30 and 50 unit Botox treatments.

What a lip flip does
The muscle around the mouth gently curls the upper lip inward, which is why some upper lips seem to disappear when you smile. A few units of Botox along the lip border relax that muscle, so more of the lip shows. The lip looks a little fuller and more defined, but nothing is added to it.

What to expect
The treatment takes minutes: a few tiny injections along the upper lip, no numbing needed and no downtime. For the first few days, drinking through a straw, whistling or saying some words can feel slightly different while the lip settles.
How long a lip flip lasts
About two to three months, shorter than Botox elsewhere on the face, because the dose is small and the mouth is always moving. It is easy to repeat alongside your regular Botox, and at 30 or 50 units it is included.
