What Daxxify is

Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) was approved by the FDA in 2022 for frown lines. Like Botox, it relaxes the muscles that crease the skin. The difference is the formula: it is stabilized with a peptide instead of human serum albumin, has no animal-based components, and is designed to last longer.

Daxxify or Botox?

Neither is better for everyone. Daxxify tends to suit people whose Botox wears off quickly, or who would rather have fewer appointments. Botox is the familiar, predictable choice. Daxxify units are counted differently from Botox units, so compare the price of the whole treatment, not the price per unit.

What to expect

The appointment runs like a Botox visit: a consultation, a few quick injections with a very fine needle, and no downtime. Koral will ask when you were last treated and with what, so a switch from Botox is planned around your current result. A two-week follow-up is included.

Aftercare

• Stay upright and avoid lying flat for about four hours
• Skip strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for the rest of the day
• Do not rub, massage or press on the treated areas
• Makeup is fine after a few hours if the skin is calm
• Expect a possible small bump or bruise that settles within days
